Saucy Lemon Dessert

 

 

After Dinner a dessert makes it all the more perfect. Here is one simple dessert.

 

Ingredients

* Butter, For greasing

* 1 egg separated

* 3 tablespoons granulated sugar

* 1 tablespoons flour

* finely grated rind and juice of 1 lemon

* 1/2 cup milk

* Confectioners' sugar , for dusting

 

 Steps to Prepare

Lightly grease 4 ovenproof dishes or tea cups, then stand them in a roasting pan. Place the egg yolk and granulated sugar in a large bowl and beat together, using an electric mixer, until creamy. Beat in the flour, lemon rind, and lemon juice until smooth, then gradually beat in the milk.

In a separate clean bowl, beat the egg white until soft peaks form . Lightly fold into the cups or dishes. Pour boiling water into the roasting pan to halfway up the sides of the cups or dishes and bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F, for 15-20 min, until risen and golden. The sauce will separate during cooking underneath the fluffy. Dust the confectioners' sugar and serve.
