Lagadapati Lambasts BJP For Double-talk on Smaller States

The Congress MP form Vijayawada, Lagadapati Rajagopal lambasted Bharateeya Janata party (BJP) for its double-talk on formation of smaller states. He said the BJP, which states that it is in favour of carving smaller states, is going back on its word and opposing division of ttar Pradesh into 4 parts. While it is promising a separate Telangana state on coming to power, at the same time, is opposing the Mayawati government's proposal to divide the UP state though a resolution to this effect has been passed by state assembly.
Rajagopal hoped that the people of Telangana will understand atleast at this stage that Congress is the only party which can solve the Telangana issue. BJP can never clear the issue or carve out a separate Telangana state. Here in Andhra Pradesh, the situation is of a complex nature. No doubt, the Congress is taking time, it is only because of the complexity of the situation in andhrapradesh. But finally congress alone will come out with an amicable solution to the T-issue, which will be acceptable to all.
