UPA to Support Congress on Lokpal Bill

The UPA partners met in the Capital to discuss the contentious Lokpal bill yesterday. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has called the meeting to assertain opinion of UPA allies about the civil society's demand for bringing Prime Minister's Office in to the ambit of Lokpal.
The meeting was attended by UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, NCP's Praful Patel, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, DMK's T R Balu and Netional Conference president Farooq Abdullah. Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee briefed the UPA partners about the talks held with Team anna in the last two days. While Congress maintained to keep its intentions till the all party meeting is held next month, the other parties left it for the Congress to decide the issue of bringing PMO under the perview of Lokpal.
Dr. Farooq Abdullah told the media that the Prime Minister has already decided to hold an all party meet and National Conference would give its opinion about Lokpal bill in the Parliament.
