As part of the bifurcation and allocation of the IAS and IPS officers to the state of Telangana the following officials have been allocated their respective posts.

Soumya Mishra, a 1994-batch IPS officer, assumed charge as Special Secretary in Home Department of Telangana State. She was earlier promoted in 2012 and posted as IGP (Law and Order) in the office of the Director General of Police.

Special Chief Secretary to Government (Tourism) Chandana Khan has been given the additional charge of Youth, Advancement, Tourism and Culture department. 

Senior IAS officers SP Singh and SP Tucker were given the additional charge of Principal Secretary of Rural Development and Registration and Stamps Department.

Principal Secretary to Government (Agriculture and Cooperation Department) Anil Chandra Puneta and Principal Secretary to Government (Women, Child Welfare, Disabled and Senior Citizens Department) Nilam Sawhney were given the additional charge of Commissioners of Commercial taxes and Women, Child Welfare, Disabled and Senior Citizens Department until further orders.

Secretary (Panchayat Raj) Jawahar Reddy has been given additional charge as secretary of Rural Water Supply.

Telangana government has appointed D Prabhakar Rao as Chairman and Managing Director of Telangana Generation Corporation Limited (TGenco). A veteran of over 45 years of experience in the power sector, he was specially chosen for this critical post .
