SC allows AP to operate APSCHE

Responding to the petition filed by the Andhra Pradesh government that challenges the High Court verdict on seizing of its rights on the AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), the Supreme Court has allowed the AP government to operate the APSCHE and conduct entrance exams in the state as usually. PP Rao, representing the AP government in the apex court, argued that the High Court’s verdict may leave its impact on the other organizations as well in the combined capital. Hence he appeals the court to suspend the High Court’s verdict, but the court refused to do so. Later, it served notices to the Centre and to the Telangana government asking them to file counter in this case and adjourned the case to four weeks. Kapil Sibal and Abhisehk Singhvi have represented the Telangana government in the Supreme Court.
