Racism in STAR WARS posters

Star Wars: The Force Awakens which happens to be the seventh movie in the series of star movies is facing allegations for racism. The Chinese posters of the movie seem to have been deliberately altered to hide the black actors. The British actor John Boyega, who plays the role of Finn in the movie, had been shrunk on the Chinese poster for being a black. Other non white actors such as Lupita Nyong were entirely missed out. Fans were quick to grasp the differences in the American and Chinese posters, which resulted in a huge outrage on the social media. The representatives of Disney which produced the movie were unable to pacify the outrage. However the Chinese state-run newspaper ‘Global Times’ said that it has nothing to do with racism. But news analysts don’t seem to be happy about the incident. It’s been thought to reflect the increasing trend of racism in China.
