Former Minister Shankarao’s police pick-up and consequent developments seems gave birth to a new politician-Sushmita, Shankarao’s daughter. Although, Kiran Kumar Reddy has ordered for a CID inquiry into the case, succumbing to the pressures from all sides, Shankarao and his daughter Sushmita have been not co-operating with the CID officers. They demand CBI inquiry instead of CID inquiry. Later, Sushmita also filed a complaint against Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, DGP Dinesh Reddy and the concerned police officials, who picked her father from the house on January 31st, as if to highlight herself in the media.

Now, she appears to be developed political interests and hence shot a letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi complaining against CM and DGP. She writes that, since DGP Dinesh Reddy is a relative of an YSR Congress party leader, he harasses those who speak against YSRCP or Jagan Mohan Reddy. Since, her father filed a petition against Jagan Mohan Reddy in the past and also sought the information of the property details of Dinesh Reddy and his wife, he has ushered his men onto her father. She complains that CM Kiran Kumar Reddy also join hands with DGP Dinesh Reddy and allows CID to harass her father and family members in the name of inquiries. She writes that the state police have already damaged their family reputation by arresting her father and now CID officials worsen the situation. Hence she asked Sonia Gandhi to intervene and order CM and DGP to stop harassing her family.

However, it appears Sushmita has developed political interests with the latest developments and trying to gain political mileage out of the developments, since she has seen the overwhelming support to her father. Otherwise, she would have approached the local court or home minister Sabita Indra Reddy for the justice.
