Ramalinga Raju and his two brothers Rama Raju and Suryanarayana Raju, Former CFO of Satyam Computers Vadlamani Srinivas, former vice president Ramakrishna, Auditors S Gopala Krishnan, Talluri Srinivas, employees Venkatapathi Raju and CH Srisailam were sentenced with 7 years jail term by the special court today. Soon after the special court announces punishments, police have shifted them all to Charlapalli jail in a special bus. Ramalinga Raju refused to speak to media.

 

He pleaded the court to spare him from punishment keeping in view of his social services, but the court turned down his plea and sentenced him with 7 years jail term. It also levied Rs. 5 crore fine on him. All others were also gets 7 years jail term, but they were asked to pay each Rs. 25 lakh only. Anyone, who is unable to pay the amount has to spend one more year in the jail, orders the court.
