Agricultural Minister Prattipati Pullarao in a press meet held along with state finance minister Ramakrishnudu yesterday said, “Our government is taking every measure to make agriculture a profitable business. We are forming a committee to chalk out action plan for ensuring a smooth supply of Seeds, Fertilizers, and Pesticides etc. to farmers’ in-time. The committee will also give it recommendations on the amount of input subsidy to be given to farmers. RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan has agreed to reschedule the crop loans after Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu talked to him personally. Hence, RBI may issue orders to bankers for rescheduling the crop loans within couple of days. Hence, farmers may not face any problem in getting fresh loans for Karrif session,” said the Minister.
