The senior Congress leader Palvai Govardhan Reddy, referring to Komatireddy brothers, wondered as to why some leaders who worked against the Telangana movement in the past, were now acting as though they were important to the movement. The Congress was in favor of Telangana, he said and added that Mr K Chandrashekar Rao had launched TRS Party,  even though the Congress party was already fighting for separate Telangana State.

Alleging that the AICC official spokes person Ms Renuka Chowdhary was not in a position to see the ongoing Telangana movement though she had the eyes, he warned that the Telangana protagonists will not allow her to step in to Khammam district. He also alleged that the Chief Minister Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy was trying to suppress the movement.
