She was missing from last Friday night. The body of the lady was found in a semi nude state the next morning. The police told the media that the lady was strangulated.
Mayawati said that the crime rate in the state was increasing and the murders, communal riots and rapes had become the most common. ‘Instead of arresting the accused, the state government is trying to shield them. So,imposing the President’s rule will only save the people of the state’, commented Mayawati.
The Noida police have arrested two persons related to the incident so far. One more person is said to be absconding. Five police personnel were suspended for dereliction of duty in the incident. Earlier, the lady’s family had told the media that the police did not register the complaint initially.
