Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has resigned to his post owing party defeat in the state. His JDU party has won just two seats out of 40 seats it contested and BJP makes a clean sweep in rest of the seats. So, Nitish opts for quitting. However, there is some other reason behind his resignation.
Ever since, he forced his party quit the NDA alliance, many seniors in the party have been fuming on him for it. They all are start attacking him after JDU lost in the elections. They argue that would he let the party stay with NDA alliance, JDU wouldn’t have faced this kind of miserable situation in the elections. They all blame Nitish Kumar party for forcing the party quit the NDA alliance, with which party is defeated in the elections. So, Nitish Kumar has resigned to his post to gain control again on the party, because there are no popular figures to lead the party in this crisis situation. However, he didn’t recommend the Governor for dissolution of his government, as if keeping his options open. JDU will meet on Sunday to take a decision on leadership change.
