Crime rate against women increased


National Crime Records Bureau released the latest data from the report “Crime in India”. According to the report, it could be said that the crime rate against women has been increased by 34% over the past four years till 2015. According to an Indian Express article that had been published in the month of January, 2016, increase in the rate not only explains increase in crimes but also explains that women are confident enough to report crimes. Cruelty against women that had been shown by the spouses and the relatives had increased by 6% over the time. Assault on women has been increased to 82%.  West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra reported most crimes against women in the year 2015. Whereas Rajasthan is having the highest crime rate when compared to other states, followed by West Bengal.
