Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu has been making rounds to Delhi during last 10 months to pursue the Centre release sufficient funds to the cash strapped state. But, it releases funds on the last day of the financial year in the last month. In this context it would interesting to know that the Modi government is readying a Rs.1 lakh crore package for Bihar state, keeping in view of assembly elections scheduled at the end of this year.

According to information, the Modi government is likely to announce 4000 mw ultra-mega power plant for Bihar state very soon. It is planning to expand the Indian Oil Refinery and to restart the fertilizer company at in Barauni that needs huge investment. Construction of high ways and roads to rural areas is also under consideration.

The Centre is also fulfilling the longstanding demand for constructing a railway bridge on river Ganga at Mokamah in Bihar. Apart from these sops, the Modi government is also encouraging the corporate giants in oil, coal, mining and power sectors to set up schools and toilets across the state as a social responsibility. The BJP high command has invited the state party leaders to New Delhi to know their wish list for the state development.

The BJP wants to make its way into Bihar that is under the control of JD (U) government led by Nitish Kumar. He become stronger after Laloo Prasad Yadav has joined hands with him. Hence, the BJP high command seems to be realized that it should start preparations from now itself to face the mighty Nitish and Yadav Co.

If so, naturally people of the AP state may ask when the Centre is getting ready to spend a woofing Rs. 1 lakh crore funds for Bihar state alone to ensure victory in the assembly elections, then why it is hesitating to liberally grant funds to the AP State that voted for it.
