The TITANIC fame Leonardo has done it again. He has won the Golden Globe award for the third time! Leonardo has won the award as the Best actor in the movie The Revenant. Even as he faced tough competition from nominees such as Will smith and Michael Fassbender, Leonardo did convince the jury to lift the trophy. The movie has moved further, winning the Best Movie and Best Director (Alejandro) segments. Though The Revenant wasn’t released worldwide yet, it was released in a limited manner in the US so as to be eligible for the awards. In the past, Leonardo has won the Golden Globe for his best performance in the movies The Aviator (2005) and The Wolf of Wall Street (2014).
The Revenant is a biographical pic about a fur hunter called Hugh Glass who lived in the early days of 18th century. The real life incidents of Hugh Glass has inspired into a novel called ‘The Revenant: A Novel of Revenge’. The novel is now turned into the movie in the news. The survival of Hugh Glass after being severely injured by a bear forms the theme of the movie. India has to wait till 29th January to watch this movie getting released in the country. Grabbing a few awards before the release would certainly favor the openings of the movie.
