No Confidence on the High Court: Keshav Rao

TRS Secretary General K Keshav Rao has made a controversial statement on the combined High Court of AP and Telangana states. He said that they (TRS?) have lost confidence on the present High Court. Hence, he proposes to shift all cases related to the Telangana State to some other court. He made this controversial statement from Delhi after coming out from a meeting with Union Law Minister Sadananda Gouda.

He and other MPs of the TRS also sets him a deadline of 15 days to divide the combined High Court. Keshav Rao claims that Law Minister positively responds to their demand. He said there is a provision for arranging special court in the section 31 and 32 of the AP Reorganization Bill. Hence, in case if there is any problem or delay in dividing the combined High Court, then the Centre should set up a separate special court for the Telangana state using this provision in the bill, he appealed the Law Minister.

No one may find fault with his demand for bifurcation of the combined High Court. But, obviously even the High Court may consider his remarks made against it very seriously. Often governments and political parties may find very hard to digest the verdicts announced by the courts. In case, if they differ with the court verdict, they challenge it in the higher courts, but never dare to pass such rude remarks against the courts. But, Keshav Rao plainly stated that he won’t trust the High Court, merely because it is taking care of both states. If, the High Court takes it seriously, he may land in unexpected problems for letting his tongue slip.
