SALEM: Kabini dam and Krishnaraja Sagar dam that are located in Karnataka released the Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu as it became surplus because of the rains. According to a central water commission official, the water reached near Hogenakkal in Dharmapuri district on Thursday evening. From there it reached Hogenakkal waterfalls the very night. Currently both the dams are together releasing 12500 cusecs of water. The CWC officials said that, the water inflow would increase in the coming days.
