“If CBI is allowed to prosecute the ministers, then the Congress party will disappear from the state very soon,” opined former Minister Jeevan Reddy. He also made a controversial statement. “CBI is targeting Congress Ministers in an attempt to fix Jagan Mohan Reddy into the cases. While, it showing lenience towards Chandrababu cases, it is going tough with Congress ministers’ cases. It is often asking for permissions to prosecute the ministers. If, the trend continues any further, definitely there will be no one left to work for Congress party in the state. Union Home Ministry should intervene in this issue and restrict CBI to its limits.”
YSR Congress leaders have been blaming CBI for turing an instrument in Congress Hand to nab its rivals. Jeevan Reddy also expressed the same opinion but in other way. He disclosed that the CBI is trying to fix Jagan Mohan Reddy in jail. He disclosed the Congress control over the CBI. He disclosed there is an unseen linkage between Congress ministers and Jagan Mohan Reddy with which CBI is able to lay its hands on ministers.
When, Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy’s name appears in CBI 5th charge sheet in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s illegal assets case, Congress couldn’t raise any objections on CBI because it will indirectly strengthens YSRCP allegations made against CBI. While, everyone in the party and government are very carefully choosing their words in responding to the latest developments, Jeevan Reddy’s statement has acknowledges YSRCP allegations.
