Minister K. Jana Reddy, who until last week has lobbied at New Delhi for Home Minister post, now states that he is interested in Telangana state than any thing else. Therefore, as if to prove his interest he has convened a T meeting with all the T ministers, MLAs, MPs and other T leaders on June 30th at Hyderabad.

He said the decision of conveying the T meeting is not intended to gain any political mileage but merely for pressurizing the party high command to take a favorable decision on Telangana at the earliest. He said the meeting decision is not his personal but a collective idea of T Congress leaders. Speaking about the reports of package for Telangana, he said “If the party opts for it, then it has to forget about winning the elections in the state for the next 20 years. Except forming Telangana state, no other offer is acceptable to us.”

He is the one, who puts breaks to T Congress leaders’ efforts on Telangana during last year, stating that party high command is seriously working on the issue. But, when he is not given home minister post, then he once again picks the Telangana issue to twist party hand.

If one could recall the way Eluru MP Kavuri Sambhasiva rao got the union minister post by twisting party high command’s hand with his resignation letter and then by extending his support to Samaikyandhra agitations, now Jana Reddy also seems to be adopted some what same idea of Kavuri to bag home minister post. This is why he lost credibility in the party and in Telangana agitations. Yet, he seems love to continue with his style.
