YSR Congress president YS Jagan alleged that the Congress star campaigner is a power-greedy politician who's main focus is on becoming Rajya Sabha MP and lobbying for ministerial berths to his followers, but not the welfare of the poor and downtrodden.
Jagan stated that the by-election in Tirupati is different from other 17 Assembly constituency, as it was compelled due to Chiranjeevi's selfishness. He also ridiculed Chiru for claiming the Rajya Sabha nomination as a promotion given to him by the High Command. "I would have saluted him, if he had resigned protesting the failure of state government in solving the problems of farmers, students and women," Jagan told, while addressing the partymen during the by-poll campaign in Tirupati.
He appealed to the people of the constituency to vote for YSR Congress party candidate Bhumana Karunakar Reddy to teach a fitting lesson to the state government and the Delhi heads who were operating the activities in the state with remote control.
