It has been just a few days since the Iraqi government stated that it has cleared the ISIS from Baghdad. But the ISIS seems to nullify the statement with a blast. Yesterday, 6 militants have entered the Al Jawhara shopping mall in Baghdad and broke the hell loose. Al Jawahara mall is famous for its women apparel and discounted prices. Most of the people who visit the mall come from the middle class. The militants have blasted a car filled with ammunition before entering the mall, which has killed seven people on the spot. Later the assailants entered the mall and started firing at the mob.
The Iraqi forces have acted quickly by surrounding the mall. The operation has resulted in the death of 18 civilians and 6 militants. But, this was not the sole incident that has happened on Monday. A few more blasts did take place in and around Baghdad that claimed 30 more lives. As Baghdad mourns for the dead, a message was released from the ISIS stating that ‘What is coming would be worse and much bitter’!
