MAA Elections to be announced today

The high court is likely to announce its verdict on the MAA elections today after watching the video footage of the elections process submitted to it by the MAA few days ago. Responding to a petition filed by O Kalyan who complains that irregularities taken place in the MAA elections process, the court orders the MAA to conduct the elections but make a video recording of it so that it will watch and give its verdict on the MAA elections.

Actually, the elections are supposed to be unanimous and Rajendra Prasad is expected to be elected unopposed as the MAA President. But, the elections become inevitable with veteran actress Jayasudha’s entry. It leads to a fierce battle between the two contestants when both contestants criticize each other over unrelated issues. Political interference further worsens the situation. Some senior actors added fuel to the fumes making serious allegations on the outgoing MAA executive board and its president Murali Mohan.

Hence, the court is forced to intervene in the MAA elections. However, both groups switched off their arguments and statements soon after the polling was concluded. Neither Rajendra Prasad nor Jayasudha has shown interest to make any media statement after the elections. Probably, they may make some spicy statements today after the verdict is announced by the court.
