Former Pakistan President General Parvez Musharaf, who flees away to Dubai 4 years ago fearing his arrest in connection with his alleged involvement in the assassination of Benajir Bhutto, the former Prime Minister of the country, has returned home on Sunday evening in a special flight from Dubai to participate in the general elections to be held in May this year. Taliban terror groups have warned to kill him with suicide bombers if he returns to Pakistan.
Responding to their threats, Musharaf said that he is not afraid of such threats as he too has served as a commander in Pakistan military for decades that give him enough courage to face any kind of threats. He said he has returned home to save his country, while prepared to face any odds for it. He was greeted by his ‘All Pakistan Muslim league’ party leaders at Zinnah International airport in Karachi. However, some groups also made protests against his return to country.
