The CBI court asked Janardhan Reddy to furnish personal surety of Rs 5 lakh, besides surety from two persons for obtaining the bail. The court also asked him to surrender his passport and directed him not to leave the country. It further ordered that he be available to the CBI for inquiry whenever it is required.
Janardhan Reddy has been languishing in judicial custody for more than eight months, since he was arrested by the CBI on September 5 at his Bellary residence along with his brother-in-law B Srinivasa Reddy, managing director of OMC in the illegal mining case. Since then, Reddy had filed seven bail petitions in various courts and was finally granted bail following his seventh petition.
