Foundation Stone laid for Flyovers in Vijayawada

 

Transport, Nithin Gadkari, M Venkaiah Naidu, Chandrababu Naidu Union Minister for Surface Transport Nithin Gadkari has laid foundation stone for the flyover near Kanaka Durga Temple and at Benz Circle in Vijayawada on Saturday. These flyovers will be built with Rs. 453 crores out of it Centre will grant Rs.350 crores and rest of the amount by the state government. These flyovers are expected to complete within one year.

 

Nithin Gadkari explained about various projects to be started in the near future with the Central funds. “AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has good foresight for developing the state and Centre is ready to help for it as he is one of our good friends. He proposed to construct 180 km long ring road around Vijayawada for which Rs. 20, 000 crores are needed. Centre will grant full amount for it. He also proposed for construction of 1350 km long national highway with an estimated cost of Rs. 65, 000 crore and I will approve it. We can start construction works of these highway roads, once the state government completes land acquisition process and submits Detailed Project Report. I hope the works may begin from December next year," said Nithin Gadkari.
