Former ministers Dharmana Prasada rao and Sabita Indra Reddy had a jolt at CBI court yesterday. CBI has produced the CDs that have video footage of their press statements, made soon after they submit resignations to their posts.
They both stated that, they are not guilty and confident of coming out clean. CBI has wisely used their statements to seek their judicial remand. It argues that they are influencing the evidences with their false assurances, while projecting that they were wrongly implicated by the CBI. The two ministers, who lost the backing and immune of the government now caught with their own statements.
CBI argues that if they are allowed to roam free, they may influence the evidences the way they tried now before the media. However, the trial court has adjourned the case of their judicial custody to June 21st. If, their lawyers fail to fight out CBI lawyers, then they too may be forwarded to Chanchalguda Jail.
