The grand announcement by DMK Chief Karunanidhi of withdrawing his party support to UPA government has not only given a jolt for UPA but also a jolt to self. Although, its 3 union ministers-S.Gandhi Selvan, S.Jagat Rakshkan and SS Palani Manikyam have submitted their resignation letters to Prime Minister Dr.Manomohan Singh today, Karunanidhi’s son Alagiri, who is also a Union Minister and Napoleon have abscond from the party decision. However, DMK stated that both of they have not submitted their resignations as they were out of station. But, according to sources, both of they are refusing to quit their posts and the party is trying to convince them to obey party president’s decision.
This unpredicted twist in DMK comes as a blessing for UPA government. According to Chennai sources, it is trying to create a rift between the MPs, so as they too will follow their party president’s son Alagiri and come to its rescue.
