Google was found guilty for abusing its dominant market position by forcing the smart phone manufacturers to install Google search engine on Android phones. After Google was found guilty, Russian anti-trust authority fined Google with $6.8 Million on Thursday. After an investigation followed by Yandex’s complaint, last year in the month of September Google was deemed in the breach of a law on “protecting competition” by The Federal Antimonopoly Service. Yandex, which is Russia’s largest search engine, asked the antitrust authorities to prevent Android phone from installing Google search engine forcibly.
