Despite losing power and being disqualified to contest any elections, former CM of Tamilnadu state Jayalalitha’s influence on her ruling AIADMK party and the state government remain unquestionable proves her die-hard loyalist and the present CM of the Tamilnadu state O Panneer Salvam by launching ‘Amma Cement’ in the state two days ago.

 

The actual price of each cement bag in the market is around Rs.300, but the state government will supply the same at subsidized rate of Rs.190 per bag to the poor and middle class section people. Need not to say it makes a large difference for the weaker and middle class sections of the society.

 

During her regime, she has launched many products like Amma Mineral Water, Amma Tea powder, Amma Sault etc. that glorifies her image among the poor and middle class sections of the society. Her ‘Amma Canteens’ launched all over the state during her regime have further glorified her image.

 

AP Government inspired with her Amma Canteens has planned to introduce the same in the AP state as Anna Canteens, but still it couldn’t complete the necessary arrangements and basic infrastructure to run the canteens.
