28k illegal buildings will be bulldozed

HYDERABAD: On Saturday, the Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao said that, 28000 buildings, which were built illegally on Hyderabad’s storm water drains, would be bulldozed in order to prevent floods during heavy rainfall.


The CM said that, the government of Telangana would not allow any illegal constructions in the city, adding that, flying squads for each of the 24 municipal circles which were assisted by police would be pressed into service to pull down the illegal structures that are under construction at the moment.


KCR added that, they were determined to demolish all the buildings which were constructed illegally on obtruded storm water drains across the city and blocking rain water flow to prevent flooding.
