IPC 302 on Lagadapati Rajagopal

      Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal has annoyed the high command of Congress party with his "pepper spray act" at the parliament. Rajagopal came armed with a pepper spray can inside the house and aimed it at the members of the house when a clash arose between the MPs who pounced on those who opposed the T Bill. Following this, people at the house rushed outside with hand kerchiefs in their hands. A couple of MPs including Rajagopal were taken to hospital after this drama.   This incident has created a hot atmosphere among the high command of Congress. In order to safeguard their face value, it seems like they are planning to dig a grave for Rajagopal. If sources are to be believed, there are plans of filing a complaint against Rajagopal under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. Rajagopal is one among the MPs who is vehemently trying to oppose the T Bill and not to forget, Rajagopal has always displayed a flair for drama and this is one of it's kind. We need to wait and see what fate is in store for this MP who is in deep trouble now.

When the Speaker became Speechless!

      Just when we thought that the dust had settled and the T bill had gone to the Lok Sabha, we have witnessed some appalling incidents in the history of the Lok Sabha proceedings. The drama being unfolded by each party and the heightened drama by Lagadapati Rajagopal’s comical behavior of using a pepper spray in the Parliament which left many parliamentarians, staff and journalists coughing and teary-eyed as they rushed outside in panic to avoid the smell and chemical effects of the spray with the MP himself fainting in the process. The pepper spray incident will make the word "pepper spray" the most popular key word in search engines today. And who said that it was only girls who use it for protection!   Now to add to the drama  that unfolded we have TDP MP Venugopal Reddy brandishing the speakers mike , looked like he  was using a knife which he vehemently denied . The state of affairs in the Lok Sabha  this year has been most preposterous and one wonders if this kind of behavior is doing any good to MPs  image in front of the public. We don’t need to take any parties name as each individual is doing their best to be on prime time news . Guess the TRP ratings can be boosted with this free show by our MPs. This day February 13th, 2014 will go into the chronicles of Lok Sabha proceedings when pepper spray was used in its proceedings which left the usually demure and poised speaker Meira Kumar speechless. The parliament remains closed on Friday on account of Guru Ravidas Jayanti and the Lok Sabha will meet on Monday. So stay tuned for more action this coming Monday!  

Cong. and BJP starts blame game on T issue

  Lok Sabha also adjourned till Monday morning. Later, the two main players Congress and BJP starts blame game on Telangana issue. BJP senior leader Sushma Swaraj said, “We believe that Congress is playing double game on Telangana issue. It lets both its regional leaders cross swords in the house with two different stands. None of its leaders have tried to control them. We came to know that Minister Kamalnath is telling the media that T-Bill has been introduced in the house, but we have no information about it. We don’t know how and why he is telling like that to media. So, we have decided not to join any discussions with Congress party over this issue.”   Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamalnath Speaking to media said, “Now it become clear that BJP is speaking with forked tongue on Telangana issue. However, we are very confident about passing the T-Bill without its support.”   If, Kamalnath is stating that Congress can pass the T-Bill without BJP support, probably it can be possible only with voice vote, otherwise Congress can't garner enough support from opposition parties for the bill. If, BJP demands for a debate and voting on the bill, Congress has to oblige its demands. So, to avert this problem, first it has to force BJP stage a walkout from the house. But, BJP is also not so foolish to fall in Congress trap. When the house meets on Monday morning, BJP may demand for a debate on the T-Bill first. If, a debate is started, then it can manage to prolong it till end of the sessions without giving chance to Congress to conduct voice vote.

    Twitter is a micro blogging site followed by millions of people. It is a solid platform for public to share their views and also to know what others have got to say. They get to follow their favorite stars and celebrities from various fields. There is a part of Twitter that keeps updating what is trending on the site. It is usually considered to be genuine but yesterday wasn't the 'Genuine Day'. While 'Chai Pe Charcha' tweets were flooding in Twitter, public did not get to see that hash tag trending. Apparently, there were more than 7600 tweets with CPC hash tag and more than 25,000 tweets in 24 hours updated on Twitter. Is this not enough for a topic to be trending ?? Why did it not happen ?? What is the ugly truth behind this ?? Was there a political hand that was stopping Twitter India from being honest ?? We could only guess !!! The truth is still hidden !!!

18 MPs suspended from Lok Sabha

  Speaker Meira Kumar suspends all the 18 Seemandhra and Telangana MPs of Congress, YSR Congress and TDP from Lok Sabha today till end of the sessions that is up to February 20th. Then she adjourned the house till today 3 pm. She announced that the no confidence move proposed by Seemandhra MPs has been rejected due to lack of support to it. Normally, speaker adjourns the house to next day in such situation, but adjourning till today 3pm hints that a debate on the T-Bill may be started today itself. However, BJP senior leader LK Advani said that the T-Bill is very controversial and may not come before house for a debate as the sessions are meant for vote-on-account budget. He flayed Congress high command for letting its MPs create havoc in the house.”

T-Bill introduced in Parliament

  The heavy deployment of police and paramilitary forces around the Parliament, gives an impression that Parliament is gearing for a war with some neighboring country instead of passing a bill in the house. Perhaps, that much of precautionary measures have becomes necessary to meet any untoward incidents, in wake of protests from people of both regions. Whole country is annoyed to watch the ugly and unruly situation inside and outside the Parliament.   It is quite disgusting to see the Parliament is passing a bill in such a worse situation. Congress has to be blamed for all these unpleasant developments. If, it is really honest to grant Telangana, it would have done this a couple of years ago, but it just picked this issue only to gain political mileage in the upcoming elections. Congress is spearheading with its decision as it has reached a point of no-return. It may be expecting huge dividends for its courageous decision and determination in passing the T-Bill, but, TRS is going to take away all the credit and fruits of its decision, if not merges with Congress party. T-Bill has presented in the Lok Sabha a short while ago, announced Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamalnath.    

Seemandhra Bandh - United AP 'Jai Ho'

      In order to protest against the T Bill being tabled at the parliament today, Seemandhra region went on a shut down today. This was in response to the bandh call given by Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers (APNGOs) Association. All 13 districts of Seemandhra region are protesting for the cause of having a United Andhra Pradesh today. APSRTC buses weren't running and this created a great impact on public and affected their daily routine. Shops, malls, colleges, schools, petrol bunks and so on were shut down in order to show strong opposition. Road blockades were seen on the state and national highway. Protesters were seen raising slogans against bifurcation of the state. There was a major hindrance in vehicular movement because of the protesters.

Manish Tewari Releases Book of INDIA 2014

Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Shri Manish Tewari has said the information dissemination policy of the Government had been broad based to ensure that a liberal information order was prevalent within the country. The perusal of such policies had ensured that the media landscape grew simultaneously offering new opportunities for growth for the media domains in different sectors including the new media. Shri Tewari stated this at the release function of India-2014' and 'Bharat-2014' Reference Annual here today. Further speaking on the occasion, the Minister highlighted the growth attained in different sectors of the Information & Broadcasting space in the last ten years. Regarding the broadcasting sector, Shri Tewari said the number of TV channels in the country had increased from 130 in 2004 to 786 in 2014. With the successful implementation of FM Phase-I and II, 245 FM channels have been established since 2005 which would be further increased to 839 after FM Phase-III. With the active support from Ministry to the Community Radio movement in the country, the Government had been successful in establishing a partnership for community information dissemination at the grass roots, which had led to customization of information dissemination in the far flung areas. Regarding the new media space, Shri Tewari stated that the creation of the New Media Wing had enabled the government to institutionalize its presence in the new information order. This had also led to the government's perspective being connected to stakeholder in the given space. While releasing 'India-2014' and 'Bharat-2014', the Minster said the publication provided exhaustive and authentic repository of information about the activities, progress and achievements of various ministries and departments of Government of India during the year since 1957. In this context, the minister mentioned that the publication provided a comprehensive and authentic information about the country's march towards inclusive growth. Earlier, soon after his arrival at the venue, the MIB flagged off the book van of Publication Division. Stocked with books and journals the "Books On Wheels" would begin its journey from today with its first halt at R.K. Puram, New Delhi, from 5 pm to7 pm. The van would be stationed at ISTM near JNU on 13th, 14th, 20th & 21st February, (11 am to 6 pm). The van would be available at Mukharjee Nagar on 15th and 24th February, (from 11 am to 3 pm) while at S.G.T.B. Khalsa College, North Campus, 17th, 18th & 25th February (11 am to 6pm). At Jamia Milia Islamia University the van would be stationed at Arts Faculty on 19th & 26th February (11 am to 6pm).

Will BJP gain or lose with T-Bill?

  Even if BJP support the T-Bill in the Parliament, it will gain nothing in return for it in Telangana. TRS and Congress parties will claim entire credit for themselves and seek favor from people in the form of votes for their big achievement. At the most, BJP may get few more seats for its support to the bill and nothing else. Even, Narendra Modi factor or influence may not do any wonders for the party, especially in these upcoming elections due to strong Telangana sentiment.   So if BJP do not support the bill, then it has to pay very dearly for it in the elections. Telangana people may punish it for not supporting the T-Bill. Hence, it may even lose its existing MP and MLA seats. Moreover, its plans to have a poll alliance with TDP that is now opposing bifurcation also may drastically bring down its vote share.   However, for the same reasons it can expect a very good yield in Seemandhra region. Chandrababu and Narendra Modi influence may do wonders for both parties in Seemandhra. Their proven administrative abilities may give an edge for their parties over Congress and YSR Congress parties. Congress has gathered enough hatred against it from the people for dividing the state and for its failure in giving an efficient government.   YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy also has several drawbacks. Firstly, he is carrying 10 CBI charge sheets against him. People may not want a Chief Minister with such a corrupt record. Moreover, he lacks any administrative experience. People may not afford to put the state in an inexperienced person’s hands in the prevailing situation, that need very careful and expert handling. Obviously, Chandrababu with exceptional track record may be the choice of the people. If, TDP gains, obviously BJP also will gains.

Chai Pe Charcha About to Begin !!!

      Narendra Modi's unique election campaign method 'Chai Pe Charcha' session will begin at 6 pm today. It is a one hour program where Modi will spend time at the Iskon Gathiya tea stall in Western Ahmedabad. The venue had been wired up to reach people. The event will be relayed LIVE in 1000 tea stalls across 300 cities.   Modi will use the so called technology of combined satellite, DTH, Internet and mobile to connect to people. Huge televisions and projectors have been set up at these tea stalls to make the session more lively. In this interactive session, people from 30 different locations can talk to Modi, ask questions and hear what Modi has got to say. This is an innovative method of campaigning by Modi as the Lok Sabha elections are due in May. To begin with, today's topic in 'Chai Pe Charcha' is Good Governance. The party is planning 12 to 15 such sessions in order to address different queries and issues. Modi was recently facing unwarranted attacks for being a tea vendor in the past. But it seems like he has taken these criticisms on a positive note and come up with something innovative that will help the party grow !!! . Top leaders of BJP are expected to join these sessions in future. About 300 BJP workers will join Modi for tea at the stall today.

PM couldn’t get firm assurance from BJP

  Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamalnath has told the media, BJP senior leaders LK Advani, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitli, who were invited for a lunch meeting with Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh, have promised their party full support to T-Bill in the Parliament, if Centre make justice to Seemandhra region. However, he said his party has to decide when to introduce the bill into Lok Sabha.   His statement reveals that BJP has stick to his new stand taken in favor of Seemandhra and is not going to support the bill in its present shape, as said by LK Advani yesterday to T-TDP leaders. After all, why BJP should support the T-Bill that helps its rival Congress, even while each and every Congress leader is sharply criticizing it and its Prime Minister candidate Narendra Modi on every given occassion.

CM Kiran likely to quit tomorrow

  CM Kiran Kumar Reddy replying to a media question about his resignation, “Perhaps tomorrow (Thursday) may be last day for me in my office.” According to reports, he has already submitted his resignation letter to Governor Narasimhan Yesterday itself and going to quit after the last sessions of Assembly are over tomorrow. Centre is planning to introduce the T-Bill in Lok Sabha tomorrow. Kiran Kumar Reddy, who is upset to see his high command is spearheading with the T-Bill that was rejected by the state assembly, may quit his CM post tomorrow. However, it is not known whether and when he is launching his new political party. But, many Seemandhra Ministers and MLAs may resign tomorrow along with him.   PCC President Botsa is gearing-up to face his (new) enemy Kiran Kumar Reddy. Today he criticized CM Kiran for not resigning on the very first day of CWC decision announcement. He said that he has proposed all the MLAs and Ministers to quit at a time opposing high command’s decision, but then no one has agreed to his proposal, but when everything was over, resigning now is of no use. I also condemn resigning or quitting party for personal goals.”

Can KCR afford to merge TRS with Congress?

  It came to know that TRS president KCR, who is now in Delhi, is not allowing any of his party leaders to meet him. Perhaps, he might be facing extreme pressures from Congress high command over merger issue. Opposition leaders and political analysts opine that Congress has intentionally tried to present the T-Bill in the Rajya Sabha first, despite knowing that it shouldn’t, only to delay the process and build pressure on TRS president KCR. Hence the time has come for KCR to decide his choice between his party and Telangana.   If, he merges his party, then he and his entire team has to stand in front of Sonia and Rahul Gandhi with folded hands like any other Congress leaders seeking tickets, minister posts etc etc. This is really horrible to any leader of his caliber. So, he can’t merge his party with Congress.   If not, Congress will definitely avoid passing the T-Bill in Lok Sabha. If, the bill is not passed in these last sessions of UPA, it can’t give any guarantee for it any further because its electoral chances are blink. BJP, which has retracted from its promise of granting Telangana state in the past due to TDP pressures, may again ignore this issue at least for two three years, due to same reasons, as it is again planning to have a poll alliance with TDP. So, TRS has to be merged with Congress party without any second thought, if it really wants Telangana state.   But, KCR can’t afford to board on a sinking Titanic Ship (Congress) at this moment. It will be nothing but suicidal for his party. Even if he boldly merges his party, BJP will not let the T-Bill pass in the house as it can’t afford to strengthen TRS-Congress combo hands in Telangana. So, at the most he may offer to have a poll alliance with Congress and nothing more.

T - Bill : A Tricky Strategy of UPA

      There is a lot confusion and chaos riding on the T-Bill. It is very clear that financial benefits of Seemandhra region will come under the   financial bill according to Article 110 of Indian Constitution. It is also a mandatory that the separation and financial bill should both be tabled at Lok Sabha only. In addition to this, no assurances on the financial benefits to Seemandhra region had been given to the main opposition part BJP that has been a bone of contention. How could a ruling party prepare a bill with these many drawbacks in it ?? With a number of intellectuals and think-tanks in the party, weren't they able to follow this simple logic ? This all just looks like a tricky strategy of the ruling UPA party as the elections are very close. There are a couple of points that can make it even clear that the T Bill will not be passed and they are as follows : 1. The UPA government is posing to fulfill all the needs of Telangana region and also their demand for a separate statehood. 2. In the meanwhile, Seemandhra region seems to be getting nothing out of the financial benefits. 3. The only good thing that Seemandhra receives is the Polavaram project. 4. The capital or other financial benefits had not been assured yet in the Seemandhra region. 5. All this is done in order to hurt the sentiments of Seemandhra people and to corner them to the maximum extent where they will need a saviour. 6. Now the saviour is none other than Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. who is posing to be the 'Champion of Samaikiandhra'. 7. However, if the T Bill is passed, Jagan will lose his momentum. 8. So UPA's ultimate plan is to gain both the regions. This indirectly shows that T Bill cannot be passed but Congress is trying to bank votes in both the regions. They are trying to be the Champions of Telangana and Jagan will be doing his bit to become the Champion of Seemandhra. Will the right one set selected ?? We need to wait and see how people are going to react to this matter !!!

Did merger issue delaying the T-Bill presentation?

  Congress MP Sabbam Hari responding on the latest twist on the T-Bill said “I don’t think our high command is so ignorant about the legal and financial points in the T-Bill. It has a galaxy of legal, financial, constitutional experts to give perfect suggestions on any issue. Despite knowing that the financial issues in the T-Bill will restrain from presenting in Rajya Sabha, its move to present it in Rajya Sabha first might be a plan to delay the bill. But, why it wants to delay the bill is a big question. Probably it wants to buy some time to enable its Andhra Pradesh government completes the vote-on-account budget sessions without any obstructions. There may be several other reasons behind its move,” said Sabbam Hari.   Perhaps, Sabbam Hari is correctly said. One of the other reasons may be merger of TRS into Congress party. Currently, negotiations between TRS president Chandrashekar rao and Congress high command are in progress. Unless, he agrees for merger, Congress will gain nothing for taking so much risk in creating Telangana state. So, once KCR gives his nod for merger or at least for a poll alliance, Congress may present the T-Bill in Lok Sabha without any delay.

Andhera Andhra Pradesh

      Unofficial power cuts have become a regular happening in the state since a couple of days now. The 4- hours power shut down during the peak hours has already started even before the onset of summer ,which is putting the common man through gross inconvenience .Industries are drastically hit due to this and they are also financially affected since they are forced to arrange alternative ways of power supply. The hike in diesel prices have bought no solace to the public either. The state is still levying FSA charges on the public every month because of the previous years consumption. Farmers are also facing this sad plight since they depend upon pumps for irrigation. Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) Vice President Anil Reddy was quoted saying that the state's economy will go down very badly if this continues and summer season is also around the corner making it even worse. According to numbers, close to 1.16 lakh small scale industries are terribly affected due to these power cuts. Not to forget, these industries are employing more than 30 lakh people. A number of gas-based power plants are not active on a constant basis due to lack of power. Andhra Pradesh Energy Co-ordination Cell Member Secretary Chandrasekhar Reddy said that the power shut down has been imposed since there is a shortage of 18 Million unit power across the state. This condition is going to affect the domestic users in summer. We need to see what alternate measures the Govt. of AP will do in the coming months.

Naidu Talks About the Condition of AP

      Lack of governance, denial of justice, increase in crime rate and so on has become a part of the ruling UPA government. People are highly dissatisfied with all this and increase in prices of basic amenities and fuel has affected everyone adversely. While we are complaining about this on a daily basis, Telugu Desam Party Supremo N Chandra Babu Naidu has given some shocking information regarding our judicial system.   Naidu recently posted a tweet on his micro blogging site saying that there are as many as 2.69 Crore cases pending in the lower courts of our country. This clearly shows the inefficiency and ignorance of our ruling leaders. Apart from this Naidu also stated that there are nearly 3000 judge posts vacant across the country. This is alarmingly high when compared to other countries. There are countries where people really do not have to wait for justice. But Indians are battling on this day in and day out. It is high time we choose the right administrating power for the nation.
