Suriya has earned a name for himself as a good human and a considerate person. Recently, he and his wife Jyothika moved to Mumbai and there have been rumors about all's not being well at his household. The speculations have suggested that Jyothika and Suriya's parents are having issues. 

Suriya never talked about the rumors but he responded to the specualtions finally. He stated in an interview promoting Kanguva that he has decided to move to Mumbai for his wife. He stated that "what a Man needs, a woman needs too." 

He continued to explain, "For 18 years, my wife stayed in Mumbai and then moved to Chennai for her career. After our marriage, she gave up on her career, looked after my parents, our kids. She has been in Chennai for 27 years and now, we are looking after her parents. If a man needs to look after his parents, then a woman wishes too." 

Hence, the couple have decided to move to Mumbai. He stated that for 10 days, in every month, he doesn't work and is happy to spend that time with his kids. As he can walk freely and roam around Mumbai with his kids a bit more freely without gathering too much attention, he did take this choice. 

Suriya is currently promoting his big budget film Kanguva, which is set to release on 14th November. He also completed a film with Karthik Subabaraj and he has a film with RJ Balaji and Vetrimaaran's Vaadivaasal in the pipeline.
