Naga Chaitanya starrer Thandel shooting is progressing at a rapid pace and few reports suggested that the makers are looking at Sankranti release date. On the other hand, Sankranti festival dates have already been booked by Ram Charan's Game Changer and NBK's NBK109. And there is Venkatesh's VenkyAnil03 also in line. 

So, can Thandel fit in to the competition? According to the director of the film, Chandoo Mondeti, they are going to be ready for January 2025 release. But they cannot rush for December 20th or 25th dates. He stated that they need to shoot only for 10 days and post production works are going on. 

Later, he opined that producer Allu Aravind and leading star Naga Chaitanya have to decide whether they want to give way to their family members' films or do they want to go for festival release. He ruled out any chances for completion of the film by December in any case. 

It looks like Game Changer postponement has brought new headaches to all producers aiming for Sankranti festival advantage. Thandel makers might go for 26th January  release as movie exhibits a patriotic theme or Summer date for better box office returns. Sai Pallavi is playing leading lady in the film.
