Megastar Chiranjeevi received ANR National Award from the hands of Amitabh Bachchan and he remembered "Vajrostavam Legendary award" incident at the event. He stated that he is happy to receiving award from the hands of the man who inspired him and his guru. Later, in his speech, he talked about Vajrostavam incident. 

He stated that his father never praised him in front of his face and he felt the same throughout his career till date with TFI never recognising him. He stated that he felt happy when he got Legend of Telugu Cinema at Vajrostavam event but he felt undeserving when some people expressed their objections about giving him the award. 

Later, Chiranjeevi emotionally stated that he is feeling honored at home after receiving ANR National Award. He stated that this award means to him more than IFFI Lifetime achievement award and Padma Vibhushan. He stated that ANR has always been welcoming towards him like a father figure, in the Industry. 

He rememebered how his mother was a big crazy fan of ANR and how he always felt a familial and family vibe with Akkineni's. He stated that Akkineni Nagarjuna will always remain close to him and he will cherish their friendship forever.
