Dil Raju, the popular producer and Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman, addressed press about Gaddar Awards, the first Telangana Government film awards. FDC Chairman stated that the regulations and criteria have been established after several considerations and deliberation. 

He stated that films released from June 2014 to December 2023 will be taken into consideration for Best Picture category for each year. Post that with slight changes in regulations, awards for 2024 films will be finalised with old school criterion. He further stated that awards' ceremony will be a grand event in April. 

Dil Raju asked for unity among filmmakers and stated that the event should be made a grand success by everyone. He also announced that new awards have been created in the names of Kanta Rao and Paidi Jairaju. He stated that people who have submitted applications and fees for Simha Awards will be returned their money. 

He stated that awards are a celebration of talents and they should be seen in the same manner. He asked for complete co-operation from every member of film fraternity and stated that Government is committed to honor every sort of talent in a grand manner.
