Dussehra and Bathukamma festival a grand success in Nashville



Tennessee Andhra Samithi celebrated Bathukamma and Dussehra festivals joyfully on Oct 06,2013 at Woodland Middle School in Brentwood, TN. The program started with Durga Pooja which was performed by local priest Sri Padmanabham garu. Then the women folk performed the Bathukamma dances enthusiastically. After the Bathukamma dances, Nimajjanam of the Bathukammas were performed. Dance Floor started at this point and people shaked their legs to some popular Telugu dance numbers. A sumptuous dinner followed where the food items were prepared by the community members themselves voluntarily.

Revathi Mettukuru garu thanks all the participants and volunteers and  entire TAS Committee which includes RangaNayaki Mudumbi, Ramesh Aramandla, Sushma Peddi, Uma Sappidi, Sridhar karra, Keshav Murthy, Venu Singari, Pavan Ganthyala, Rajesh Tatineni, Sesha Aparnath, Sandeep Gondela, Latha Sashi, Kiran Kamatham, Harika Kanagala, Sowmya Chiluka, Mouni Aramandla and Sapna Suresh who worked diligently for their verve and enthusiasm in making this program a great success. TAS also thanks Srimathi and Sri Srinivas Durgam garu for driving all the way from Atlanta and providing great sound system and DJ service.
