Vivek Agnihotri's The Delhi Files locks Independence Day date

National award winning director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has been making films about big historical events in Indian history. While he received criticism for sensatinalisation of topics, he has been quite adamant about bringing some forgotten issues to big screens, opening up a debate, about them. Post films like The Kashmir Files and critically acclaimed films like The Taskent Files, The Vaccine War, he is coming up with The Delhi Files. 

The makers have made an official announcement regarding the release with an intriguing poster. The poster highlights the film's theme, Right To Life and talks about a significant historcial event. Vivek Agnihotri has researched extensively for this film by reading 100 books and 7000+ research pages. He even travelled 20 states to complete his research. 

The Delhi Files films have been divided into two parts. First part is titled as The Delhi Files - The Bengal Chapter. The story deals with Bengal massacre say makers. Famous producer Abhishek Agarwal is producing the film and it is scheduled to release on 15th August 2015.
