Hence, he has been circumspect about his releases avoiding clashes. But the latest reports suggest that he could be clashing with Superstar Rajinikanth in Summer 2026.

According to the reports, Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 will be releasing on 14th April and even Suriya's long delayed Karuppu would also release for the same date. These reports have resulted in huge uproar against Suriya among social media platforms by Rajini fans.

But new reports suggest that Tamil Producers Council have decided to intervene in the matters and avoided big clashes. During Sankranti, Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan and Sivakarthikeyan's Parasakthi have been scheduled to release. The Council have decided to release one film on 9th Jan and another one on 14th Jan.

In similar way, Suriya's Karuppu is set to release on 9th April and Jailer 2 on 14th April, 2026. Both the films are coming with huge expectations while Jailer 2 is expected to be Industry Hit for Tamil Cinema, crossing all existing records.
