Kamal Haasan and Superstar Rajinikanth have been waiting to come together on big screen in a story that suits their image in present times. They have worked 46 years ago in many films but have decided to be friendly rivals. Now, Rajinikanth also confirmed that Red Giant Movies and Raaj Kamal Films International will produce it.

But he stated that they did not lock the story and director, yet. Earlier reports have stated that Lokesh Kanagaraj is directing the film. But as Kamal and Rajini did not confirm the director, new reports have been stating that Pradeep Ranganathan who made Comali, Love Today could direct it.

Currently, Pradeep is acting in Dude and LIK, after delivering a blockbuster like Dragon/ Return of Dragon. Will he get back to direction or will he continue as an actor due to such blockbusters, is not known yet. Few reports state that Lokesh is currently working on the script and unless it is done, he won't announce project.

As Kamal Haasan wants to be sure about everything, until he and Rajini are happy with the script, the movie won't start pre-production works. There have been reports about KS Ravi Kumar also being consulted about this project. Currently, Tamil media is trying to write different reports about the film and it is hard to be sure, about who is directing and when it will start shoot.
