Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD took its own time to release in theatres and it became a huge blockbuster despite mixed reviews. Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone kind of an ensemble cast created sky high expectations for the film and hence, the mixed reactions. 

From the director of Mahanati, Nag Ashwin, the expectations regarding the content have also been so pretty high that just world building in the proposed two part film in its first part seemed a little bit too much as well. Prabhas as carefree Bhairava and Karna salvaged the situation big time. 

Now, the movie is going to Japan in Japanese language and it is releasing on 3rd January for them. Baahubali became a huge hit in the country and RRR repeated same level success. Now, the futuristic sci-fi movie with mythological twist is releasing in a big way in Japan and we have to wait and see how it will fare there. 

The movie is being released by stalwart Kabata Keizo in the country. Vyjayanthi Movies have produced the film on a never-before-seen scale for Indian Cinema and they have big hopes for film's success in Japan too.
