"Thangalaan" is a period action movie starring Chiyaan Vikram, produced by director Pa Ranjith under the banner of Studio Green Films. Renowned producer KE Gnanavel Raja is also involved through Studio Green Films, in association with Neelam Productions.

Parvathy Thiruvothu and Malavika Mohanan play pivotal roles in "Thangalaan," a film based on real events set against the backdrop of the Kolar Gold Fields. The movie is set for a grand theatrical release worldwide on August 15th.

The film recently completed censor formalities. Thangalaan has received a U/A certificate from the CBFC, with a runtime of 156 minutes (2 hours and 36 minutes). The film features muted cuss words and color corrections for blood scenes, but no cuts were requested by the CBFC, despite the intense teaser and trailer.

The film also stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pashupathi, Harikrishnan, Anbu Durai, and others.
