Telugu cinema Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja's new Telugu movie 'Nippu' has been launched yesterday (May 28, 2011) in Hyderabad. Nippu movie is directed by Gunasekhar and produced by YVS Chowdhary under his home production Bommarillu. Top Telugu movie celebrities like Rajamouli, VV Vinayak, Ravi Teja, Meher Ramesh, VYS Chowdary, Gunasekhar, Allu Aravind, Nandi Reddy, Vamsi Paidipally, BVS Ravi, etc graced the movie's opening ceremony.

 

 

Speaking to the media on this occasion, director Gunasekhar said “Nippu movie will not have lavish sets and high end graphics.” You might wonder why since he received severe criticism in the past for focusing more on set work and not script. Gunasekhar erected a Charmina set for 'Okkadu', Meenakshi temple set in 'Arjun' but his recent releases 'Sainikudu' and 'Varudu' were dud at the box office and this compelled the director not to go for any sets.

 

Producer YVS Chowdhary said: “Gunasekhar, Ravi Teja and I were roommates in Chennai and today we succeeded in our careers. So I'm really honored to produce a movie in our combination.” Akula Siva is penning the story while Sarvesh Murari is the cinematographer.
