Superstar Rajinikanth, who stars in the titular role of "Vettaiyan - The Hunter," expressed confidence in the film's success at its audio launch in Chennai. Set for release on October 10 during Dussehra, the film is produced by LYCA Productions and directed by T.J.. Gnanavel.

During the event, Rajinikanth conveyed his gratitude to LYCA Productions and praised the contributions of his co-stars, including Manju Warrier and Rana Daggubati. He discussed the pressures that come after a hit film, noting the need for a "magical" element to achieve success. Following the success of "Jailer," he paused script reviews until Soundarya Rajinikanth introduced him to Gnanavel, whose film "Jai Bheem" had captivated him.

Rajinikanth lauded Gnanavel's unique storytelling and emphasized the importance of melding their creative styles. He shared his excitement about Amitabh Bachchan's involvement, stating that Bachchan has been a profound inspiration throughout his career. He remarked on the significance of collaborating with such a legendary actor, highlighting the younger generation’s need to appreciate Amitabh Bachchan's legacy.

Thalaivar Rajinikanth also mentions Devara and praises Anirudh work for the film. Rajini said, "If someone has a flop, the next film becomes a source of tension. The same applies for a hit film; the next one is also tense. The same magic happened with Jailer. Meeting expectations nowadays is a tough challenge."

He added, "I told director TJ Gnanavel, 'Sir, you will give a message in films, and that kind of film won’t suit me. I need a proper commercial film.' He asked for 10 days, and then he called me and said, 'Sir, I'll do it in a commercial style, but I cannot do it like Nelson or Lokesh. However, I'll present you to your fans in a different way.' I replied, 'That's exactly what I want. If I wanted a Nelson or Lokesh Kanagaraj style, I would have gone with them.

Anirudh said, "Giving a hit song and hit film to Thalaivar is a simple matter. Like all of you, I’m a die-hard fan who would give my life for Rajinikanth. Everyone knows I’m a jolly person, but while watching Jailer, I got really emotional. This emotion is only for you, Thalaiva. Love you."

He added, 'I have never done a film like this with such an intense story. I never thought Thalaivar Rajinikanth would take on a role like this. This is my fourth audio launch with Thalaivar, and I can honestly say I get goosebumps every time he enters. I'm here as a representative of Thalaivar's fans. No award compares to watching a film of Thalaivar's on its first day, first show. Vettaiyan will definitely be a blockbuster.

Manju warrier said, "I never thought I would get a chance to meet him. Now I've acted with him and had the opportunity to talk with him. Thank you, Rajinikanth sir. I'm standing here because of my previous two films in Tamil: one is Dhanush sir's Asuran and the other is Ajith sir's Thunivu. You all will surely like Vettaiyan."

Rana Daggubati said, "People will have class mates, college mates and office colleagues but Rajinikanth sir is my hospital mate. When I have been diagnosed with something very dangerous, and I never expected to return to acting. During that difficult time, Rajinikanth sir spoke with me for an hour, which greatly helped me. Thank you sir."

Amitabh Bachchan reciprocated Rajinikanth's admiration, expressing pride in working alongside him and describing him as a remarkable human being. He conveyed his hopes for the film's success.

Director T.J. Gnanavel reflected on the unexpected opportunity that arose after "Jai Bhim" and shared how Soundarya Rajinikanth encouraged him to develop a compelling story. He expressed gratitude for the support he received from the cast and Laika Productions, which allowed him to bring together a talented team.

He said, "Thank you, Suriya sir for being the key reason I’m on this stage. Superstar calls every good movie director, and I was even ready with a new shirt, but after two weeks, I hadn’t received a call. Then Soundharya Rajinikanth called me, wished me well for Jai Bhim, and asked for a script. I had been thinking for two weeks, and I presented a jolly film idea and Vettaiyan idea, but Soundharya chose Vettaiyan, and sir liked the concept and asked me to develop it further."

He added, "When I write any scene for Rajinikanth, it turns out as a mass scene. It is only because of Rajinikanth sir. Even if you don't create any mass moments, he automatically turns it into a mass scene. My favourite scene is Padayappa swing sofa scene.
