Prabhas’ dystopian sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD has successfully completed theatrical run in theatres and the movie has already crossed the Rs 1300 crore mark at the worldwide box office. The film shattered many box office records.

The film recently debuted in OTT and getting super positive reception. It is known that everyone is eagerly waiting for the film's 2nd part. Makers revealed that highly anticipated sequel will Kickstart shoot from January 2025 and ready for 2028 release.

But according to producer Ashwini Dutt, "Kalki 2898AD part 2 shoot has been completed almost 60%. Only major portions are left to shot." It appears that Nag Ashwin shot extensively for Kalki 2898AD part 2, while completing the first part. But, the release date is raising concers in fans.

Featuring an ensemble star cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in key roles, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. A multilingual, mythology-inspired sci-fi spectacle set in the future.
