Akkineni Nagarjuna and Megastar Chiranjeevi are the biggest senior stars of Telugu Cinema. They both share a great camraderie and friendship even though they are competitive rivals. They have always been appreciative of each other and grave well-wishers as well. Whenever they come together it is an eye-feast to TFI fans. 

Nagarjuna met Chiranjeevi to invite him formally for ANR Award ceremony. That too, this year marks 100th birth anniversary of the legendary actor. Shenshah Amitabh Bachchan will be presenting the prestigious award to Chiranjeevi. This makes it further special as both the greats will be honoring the legend in his centenary year. 

Earlier, on September 20th celebrating the momentous occasion government released a special postal stamp commemorating ANR. In a fitting tribute to ANR’s legacy, the Akkineni family announced that the prestigious ANR Award would be conferred upon Padma Vibhushan Awardee Shri. Chiranjeevi, in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to Indian cinema. 

Nagarjuna sharing pictures wrote a speical note on his X account. He wrote, “This year is extra special as we celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of my father, ANR garu! Honoured to invite  @SrBachchan ji and Megastar @KChiruTweets garu to the ANR Awards 2024 to mark this milestone! Nagarjuna also shared a couple of pictures on social media that showcase a delightful moment together. They both looked stylish together and their friendship is making many Telugu Cinema fans go crazy looking at both of them in same picture. 

The ANR award ceremony is scheduled to be held on 28th October and previously has been bestowed upon iconic personalities such as Padma Bhushan Awardee Shri. Devanand, Padma Shri Awardee Smt. Shabana Azmi, Smt. Anjali Devi, Dr. Vyjayantimala Bali, Bharat Ratna Awardee Dr. Lata Mangeshkar, Padma Shri Awardee Dr. K. Balachander, Padma Shri Awardee Smt.
