Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has expressed his disapproval of Karthi for making light of the Tirumala Laddu issue during recent promotional activities for his movie. Pawan emphasized the importance of respecting cultural beliefs and highlighted that such sensitive topics should not be trivialized.

In response to the backlash, Karthi took to social media to address Pawan Kalyan’s concerns. He conveyed his regret over any misunderstanding that may have arisen and clarified his belief in God, seeking an apology for the situation.

He wrote, "Dear @PawanKalyan sir, with deep respects to you, I apologize for any unintended misunderstanding caused. As a humble devotee of Lord Venkateswara, I always hold our traditions dear. Best regards." Karthi's swift response aimed to clear the air and demonstrate his respect for the sentiments of devotees.

Lot of people online said that Karthi didn't do anything wrong. By avoiding a controversy issue he became the controversy. Pawan Kalyan also replied to Karthi apology. He appreciated for the actor’s quick acknowledgment and the respect shown towards shared cultural traditions.

He noted that matters related to sacred institutions like Tirupati and its revered prasadam laddus hold significant emotional value for millions and should be approached with care. He assured Karthi that he raised the issue with no ill intentions. He also said best wishes for Karthi upcoming film Meiyazhagan/ Sathyam Sundaram produced by Suriya and Jyotika.
