‘Mathu Vadalara 2’ is gearing up to entertain audiences as a sequel to the blockbuster ‘Mathu Vadalara.’ Directed by Ritesh Rana, the film stars Satya in the lead role, with Sri Simha Koduri as his sidekick and Faria Abdullah as the heroine. Presented by the prestigious Mythri Movie Makers banner, the film is produced by Chiranjeevi (Cherry) and Hemalatha Pedamallu under the Clap Entertainment banner.
The already released teaser has created a huge buzz, and the film is set to release on September 13. In this context, heroine Faria Abdullah shared insights about the film in a media interaction.
How did you get involved in the ‘Mathu Vadalara 2’ project? What did you feel when you heard the story?
“‘Mathuvadalara 2’ is a thriller where comedy arises from the actor’s tragedy. (Laughs) I loved the story. As soon as I heard it, I immediately agreed. While ‘Madhu Vadalara’ was a big hit, the second part is different from the first. Sr9 Simha and Satya’s characters will be seen as special agents, transitioning from Delivery Boys.”
How is your character in this film?
“My character’s name is Sanidhi, and she is also a special agent. She has a soft corner for Sri Simha and Satya’s characters. My role includes action scenes, and I enjoyed performing these with guns.”
Did you contribute to the music in the film?
“Yes, I wrote the lyrics and sang a song for this movie. When I shared this idea with director Ritesh, he was very supportive. I also choreographed a song with my team.”
Sri Simha and Satya are a successful combination. How did you match that combo?
“I get along well with everyone. My character balances their high-energy performances, adding a bit of smartness to the mix.”
What about director Ritesh Rana?
“Ritesh Rana is a very clear director who offers a lot of creative freedom. This freedom allowed for the song collaboration. I look forward to working on more projects with him.”
How was it working on ‘Kalki 2898AD’?
“It was an exciting experience. I’m grateful to director Nag Ashwin and would love to work with Prabhas in a bigger role.”
How was it working with Sri Simha?
“Sri Simha is very talented and sweet. He is also very hardworking. I would love to work with him again.”
What about the roles of Sunil and Vennela Kishore?
“Vennela Kishore is well-known from ‘Jathi Ratnalu,’ and Sunil is a gem. Their characters provide a lot of entertainment.”
How was it working with Kaala Bhairava?
“Kaala Bhairava’s music is outstanding. My song was taken to the next level thanks to his work.”
What are your thoughts on the Clap Entertainment producers?
“They were very supportive and made me feel comfortable. Working with them was a wonderful experience. I have been interested in writing since childhood, and it was a great pleasure to have the opportunity to write a song for this film.”
Are there any similarities to ‘Mathu Vadalara’?
“While ‘Mathu vadalara 2’ has its own unique story, it continues the entertaining spirit that fans of the original enjoyed. The movie stands well on its own.”
Are you funny in real life?
“I’m generally a happy person who likes to make those around me smile. I enjoy telling funny jokes. (Laughs)”
What are your upcoming projects?
“I’m working on a love story with Thiruveer and am about to start a Tamil movie.”
