Director Maruthi apologises for his remarks against NTR
Updated : Nov 24, 2025
Director Maruthi Dasari is directing Prabhas in The Raja Saab and he has been excited to showcase the horror comedy to the world. Movie is releasing on 9th January 2026 and the makers have released first single, recently. At the event, Maruthi commented that he would not make statements like "Collor egaresukuni chustaru."
He continued to say, "Ee cutout ki adi chaala chinna padam". NTR fans are triggered by his statements and have been trolling him, abusing him and commenting about him. Now, he apologised to a fan and entire fandom and clarified that he never intended to make a statement that would be disrespectful and hurtful. He accepted it as wrong construction of words but never intended to target anyone.
He wrote, "Felt like clarifying this personally. First I sincerely apologise to every fan. It was never my intention to hurt or disrespect anyone. Sometimes in the flow of words things come out differently from what we truly mean and I regret that it was received in the wrong way or as a comparison."
He continued to say, "I have immense respect for NTR garu and for all his fans. I truly value the love you carry for cinema and for your hero. I wanted to clarify this with complete honesty and from the heart… and I hope you understand the situation and the intention behind it."
Well, Maruthi Dasari did apologise for his comments, so, maybe this aspect need not turn into bigger fan fights anymore. The Raja Saab song by S Thaman is also receiving negative feedback and such controversies would further make it hard to promote in positive manner.
