Anupama Parameswaran in Paradha: A powerful woman saga?

After scoring 100 crores blockbuster, the gorgeous Anupama Parameswaran is coming with a powerful content rich film. Praveen Kandregula is coming up with his second film, promising to deliver yet another captivating cinematic experience.

Today, Samantha, Raj & DK unveiled the title, first look and concept video of the movie. An intriguing title "Paradha" is locked for the movie billed to be a compelling drama, which is centred around female protagonists, boasts a stellar cast featuring the immensely talented Anupama Parmeswaran, the versatile Darshana Rajendran, and the veteran actress Sangitha. Paradha means curtain and the first look poster where Anupama is seen without Paradha catches everyone’s attention.

Draped in traditional attires, Anupama is seen standing alongside some other girls who cover their faces with Voni. Anupama is seen giving a stern gaze. Unlike in her previous film, she will be seen in a de-glam role. The concept video shows an idol of goddess in a village set-up. A shloka is heard and it means where Women are honored, divinity blossoms there, and where women are dishonored, all action no matter how noble remain unfruitful. The shloka describes the theme of the movie.

Notably, 'Paradha' marks Darshana Rajendran's first foray into Telugu cinema after she accomplished huge fame in the widely acclaimed films 'Hridayam' and 'Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey,' adding an extra layer of excitement for her fans in both the Telugu and Malayalam film industries. "Paradha" has been a labour of love, with shooting schedules spanning across picturesque locations in Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and some villages. The film completed 80% of shoot and last leg of shooting scheduled in May.

Produced under the banner of Ananda Media, "Paradha" promises to captivate audiences with its engaging storyline, talented cast, and its catchy songs. Gopi Sundar scores the music for the movie that has cinematography handled by Mridul Sujit Sen.
