2018 film became fastest 100 CR grosser in Mollywood?

The recently released Malayalam film 2018 is creating sensation in Mollywood. Based on the devastating floods that ravaged several districts across Kerala in the year 2018. The film showcases the heroic efforts and sacrifices of citizens and government officials in rescuing thousands of victims.

Directed by Jude Anthony Joseph, the film stars Tovino Thomas, Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali, Vineeth Srinivasan and Lal in lead roles. Now this film set a huge record in the history of Malayalam cinema.

The 2018 film became the fastest Malayalam film to enter the Rs 100 crore gross club. The film achieved this huge feat within 11 days of its release. Mohanlal's Lucifer has crossed the record of Rs 100 crore collection in 12 days. 2018 is the third highest grossing Malayalam movie of all time. Mohanlal's Pulimurugan Rs. 137.75 crores, and Lucifer Rs. 125.10 crores only after.

The film Mammootty's Bheeshma Parvam Rs. 87.65 crores and Dulquer Salmaan's Kurup Rs. 83 crores exceeded. The film collected around Rs 50 crores in Kerala and Rest of India and collected another Rs 50 crores overseas.
